Mr. Connaghan is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience in the software and healthcare industries. Most recently he served as managing director within Marsh USA, responsible for Global Operations, and Global IT Program Management Offices. Prior to that, he was CEO of P2Plink, a medical transaction business for workers’ compensation. Between 2003 and 2005, Mr. Connaghan was an executive consultant for life sciences and healthcare IT companies, assessing the viability and market potential of healthcare-related technology businesses. Mr. Connaghan also held senior executive positions at Misys Healthcare Systems, most recently as CEO of Misys Transaction Services, and has serviced as CEO and board member at Delphi Information Systems, and COO and board member of Microware Systems Corporation – both NASDAQ-listed companies. A native of Australia, Mr. Connaghan holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Trepanier brings 16 years of financial management experience to his new role. Prior to joining etrials in 2008, Trepanier held positions as Chief Operating Officer with Durham, NC-based SmartOnline, Chief Finance Officer /Chief Operating Officer at DataFlux Corporation and Director of Finance at Hill-Room Corporation. Trepanier is a licensed CPA in North Carolina. He is an active member in AICPA and NC Board of Certified Public Accountants, a Six Sigma-certified Green Belt and Certified Project Manager in Applied Project Management and Operational Optimization (Harrington Institute). Trepanier holds an MBA from the Southern New Hampshire University, a B.S. in Accounting from West Virginia University and a B. S. from the University of New Hampshire.
Mr. Mickens will be responsible for leading the sales organization, creating and implementing a customer-focused, team-oriented sales strategy to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the life cycle of the company's client relationships. Mr. Mickens brings over 15 years' experience in management positions in sales and professional services. He joined etrials from Cerner Corp., where he was vice president of worldwide sales and business development responsible for global sales of software, education and consulting services to pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies, contract research organizations and research organizations. Prior to Cerner Corp., he was vice president of worldwide sales and business development at QED Solutions, Inc. and before that he held various sales and business development positions at blue chip organizations like Fiserv and Oracle Corporation.
Mickens has a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Colorado State University. Additionally, Michael teaches graduate level courses as an adjunct professor of business at Southwestern College.
